Run time: 71 min.

Two Screenings: Sunday Feb 19 (Followed by CHERYL [NYC] & STAY GOLD [SF] DANCE PARTY EXPLOSION) at Public Works and Thursday Feb 23 at Roxie Theater.

Girl Walk//All Day is an epic, 71-minute dance music video set to All Day, the new album by mash-up musician Girl Talk (aka Gregg Gillis). Girl Walk // All Day expands the boundaries around the idea of the traditional music video, which usually spans the length of a single track. This album-length piece features a talented group of dancers across a range of public and private spaces around New York City, turning the city's sidewalks and obstacles into part of an evolving improvisational dance routine.

The Story: A young dancer finds herself bored with her ballet rehearsal. One day, she impulsively quits, then takes a ferry to the city. Feeling incredibly inspired by what she sees, Anne dances her way across New York, using the city as her stage. Throughout her journey, she meets characters of all types, including a series of like-minded dancers, who'll inspire new movements, engage her in small battles, and teach her to fear, love, laugh and live anew. From the ferry to museums, subways, ball games, bridges, bodegas, graveyards, flower shops, and more, Anne's journey will bring her far and wide as the city explodes with dance!

IndieFest presents Girl Walk // All Day twice. The first screening, Sun Feb 19 at Public Works will be a dance party with the film projected on screen from the dance floor, DJs playing before and after and everyone encouraged to get into the vibe and dance the night away. Our second screening on Thu Feb 23 is at the Roxie Theater, where you can try to stay in your seat and watch the film, but we fully expect more dancing in the aisles then even at our Sing-A-Long nights!

CHERYL (NYC) and Stay Gold (SF) team up to throw a dance party of thrash/explode/die proportions following the screening on Feb 19, featuring CHERYL video projections, spontaneous performances and participatory activities. CHERYL resident DJ Nick and DJ rapidfire and DJ pink lightning of Stay Gold spin a mix of disco, electro, Italo, pop, and general insanity. After party facebook event page here

"CHERYL is is a four-member, semi-anonymous, often cat-masked artist collective based in Brooklyn, New York, known its for videos, installations, performances, dance parties, and large-scale participatory creative events. CHERYL explores the themes of humor/horror, loss of control, dollar store dementia, and FRESHMAGICK™. CHERYL revels in the joyous power of dance-induced psychosis/euphoria. CHERYL has acquired an international cult following and media attention for over-the-top happenings."

This will be one epic closing night party!!

Co-presented by BOOTIE SF, The Biggest Bootleg Mashup Party in the World. Saturdays at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco AND in cities all over the planet!

Online ticket sales end the morning of the show. Tickets can be purchased at the Box Office, which opens 30 mins. before the first show of the day and has tickets for all shows.
